Benefits: You can now color code your model results by element types, materials, and sections. Additional selection methods and an enhanced user interface, including automatic coloring based on model attributes, are available in the Visualization module.
Description: The Color Code dialog box has been updated to provide easy access to the many new options available, as shown in Figure 152.
The default selection when you open the dialog box is an automatic color mapping scheme applied to all element sets in the model. You can click Apply to implement the current selection in the viewport, or you can make any of the following changes:Click Auto Color List to edit the colors used for automatic color coding.
Click column headings in the Color Mapping table to sort the table by that column.
Select new items by attribute, element, or node.
Change the selection method for the current item type (Pick from viewport, for example).
Select one or more cells from the Color Mapping table to edit their colors.
Note: Color coding by materials or sections is available only for output databases that contain the required information—i.e., analyses run using ABAQUS Version 6.5.
