15.3 Size control for displayed symbols

Product: ABAQUS/CAE

Benefits: You can now control the size of the symbols used to represent model entities in an output database. In addition, the range of sizes for vector and tensor arrows in a symbol plot has been expanded.

Description: The new symbol size controls in the Visualization module match the symbol size controls in the assembly-related modules of ABAQUS/CAE. In addition to toggling model entity symbols on or off, you can now control their size. Figure 15–3 shows the new Symbol size control in the ODB Display Options dialog box.

An identical control in the Symbol Plot Options dialog box changes the display size of vector and tensor arrows.

Use the sliders in each dialog box to set symbol sizes between 1 and 30; the default size is 6. The sizes that you choose in the ODB Display Options and Symbol Plot Options dialog boxes are applied to all model entity symbols and to all vectors and tensors, respectively, in the current viewport.
