14.6 Activating steps and frames

Products: ABAQUS/CAE  ABAQUS/Viewer

Benefits: You can now control the steps and frames that are displayed for static frame selection and animated displays of analysis results.

Description: ABAQUS/CAE enables you to activate a subset of an analysis' steps and frames for frame-by-frame or animated display of data. The Active Steps/Frames dialog box, shown in Figure 14–6, allows you to activate or deactivate entire steps or frames within each step. Only active steps are displayed, and the changes you make in this dialog box apply to all frame-by-frame displays, animations, and X–Y plots from field output. The active steps and frames apply to all viewports that display this model and persist throughout a session.

Because X–Y plots from field output use the currently active steps and frames, the XY Data from ODB Field Output dialog box now includes an Active Steps/Frames button, which you can click to launch the Active Steps/Frames dialog box.
