Benefits: You can now sweep or extrude analytical rigid surfaces independently of the elements in your model. This enhancement provides greater control over visualization of axisymmetric models with elements and surfaces that can be swept.
Description: The new Sweep analytical rigid surfaces and Extrude analytical rigid surfaces options enable you to sweep or extrude analytical rigid surfaces separately from the sweeping or extruding of the elements in your model. Figure 14–20 shows an example in which the model's elastomeric foam elements are swept from 0° to 180°, while the analytical rigid surface that indents the foam is swept from 0° to 90°.
