Description: The connection types PROJECTION CARTESIAN, PROJECTION FLEXION-TORSION, and BUSHING, introduced in ABAQUS/Explicit and supported in ABAQUS/CAE in Version 6.5, are now available in ABAQUS/Standard.
The PROJECTION CARTESIAN connection is a basic translational connection type that is used to model shear and axial deformations appropriately in certain applications such as bushings and spot welds.
The PROJECTION FLEXION-TORSION connection is a basic rotational connection type that is used to model bending and twisting deformations appropriately in certain applications such as bushings and spot welds.
The pre-assembled connection type BUSHING is created using the PROJECTION CARTESIAN and PROJECTION FLEXION-TORSION types together.
The SLIPRING, FLOW-CONVERTER, and RETRACTOR connection types have been introduced to model seatbelt systems. In addition, the ACCELEROMETER and ROTATION-ACCELEROMETER connection types have been introduced in ABAQUS/Explicit to measure accelerometer-like output at desired locations.
The connection types ACCELEROMETER, FLOW-CONVERTER, ROTATION-ACCELEROMETER, and RETRACTOR are now available in ABAQUS/CAE. The optional scaling factor for material flow for the FLOW-CONVERTER and RETRACTOR connection types is not supported in ABAQUS/CAE.
