7.1 Material enhancements in ABAQUS/CAE

Benefits: Several material properties and options that were previously supported only through the Keywords Editor are now available in the Property module.

Description: The following capabilities are now supported in the Property module:

Brittle cracking material model, including shear and failure.
Compaction for equation of state materials.
No compression and no tension definitions for elastic materials.

Figure 7–1 shows the brittle cracking properties for a reinforced concrete material.
