6.11 ALE adaptive meshing constraints in ABAQUS/CAE

Product: ABAQUS/CAE

Benefits: You can specify ALE adaptive meshing constraints in ABAQUS/CAE.

Description: ALE adaptive meshing constraints, previously available in ABAQUS/Standard and ABAQUS/Explicit, are now available in ABAQUS/CAE. You can use ALE adaptive mesh constraints to force some nodes or node sets in a model to remain motionless, to move in a particular direction, or to follow the material motion. Figure 6–7 shows the ALE adaptive mesh constraints editor. ALE adaptive mesh constraints are step-dependent; you can use the ALE Adaptive Mesh Constraint Manager to edit or deactivate existing constraints in each analysis step.
