2.13 Selecting datum geometry for display groups

Benefits: You can now select datum geometry to create display groups.

Description: In all part- and assembly-related modules, you can select datum points, axes, planes, and coordinate systems to create display groups. Use the Datums item type to select from all datum geometry in the model. You can choose from two selection methods:

Select Datum names to pick datums from a list.
Select Pick from viewport to select datums from the model in the viewport.

If you choose to select datums from a list, the list is displayed in the right side of the Create Display Group dialog box, as shown in Figure 2–5. The list is arranged by datum type and then by datum name.
