4.2 Filleting and chamfering shell edges

Benefits: The fillet and chamfer tools are more widely applicable.

Description: You can now fillet and chamfer shell edges. In addition, the fillet and chamfer tools can be applied to many solid edges that could not be filleted or chamfered with previous versions of ABAQUS/CAE. For example, the bicycle frame shown in Figure 4–2 has a sequence of edges at the intersection of the tubing that could not be filleted with previous versions of ABAQUS/CAE. The Round/Fillet tool can now be applied to these edges.

Edges of parts that contain wires cannot be filleted or chamfered.
