Benefits: In the Visualization module you can create display groups using element types, material assignments, and section assignments. You can also select internal sets and surfaces for use in display groups throughout ABAQUS/CAE.
Description: Internal sets and surfaces are available in all modules that support the use of display groups (all modules except the Job module and the Sketch module). You can select elements by material or section assignments; however, material and section assignment information is available only for output databases that contain the required information (analyses run using ABAQUS Version 6.5).
The selection of nodes and elements by result values in the Visualization module has also been enhanced; symbols are now used to represent the desired range of result values for use in the display group, as shown in Figure 2–8.
