2.6 Saving your display options and GUI settings

Product: ABAQUS/CAE

Benefits: Settings that affect the appearance of ABAQUS/CAE, such as the size of the main window and the render style, can be saved and applied to subsequent sessions.

Description: You can save your modified part and assembly display options settings such as render style and datum visibility, and ABAQUS/CAE will apply the settings to subsequent sessions. You can also save your display options settings from the Visualization module, such as render style and fill style in different plot modes. You can save the settings in a file in your home directory and apply them to all ABAQUS/CAE sessions. Alternatively, you can save the settings in a file in a local directory and apply them to any ABAQUS/CAE sessions that you start in that directory.

In addition, if you modify your ABAQUS/CAE GUI settings (for example, the size of the main window or the size and location of a particular dialog box), ABAQUS/CAE stores the new settings and applies them to future sessions. ABAQUS/CAE stores the GUI settings in a file in your home directory and applies them to all subsequent sessions.
