Project Proposal

You've heard of BIRD Scooter and LimeBike... now we present to you BOARDLOCK, an electric Longboard equipped with a working motor, iPhone-accessible GPS, and Bluetooth wheel-locking capabilities. In this project, our team aims to manufacture a rapid transportation method of utmost quality, aesthetics, and convenience.

Objectives

1. Attach a motor to the underside of our Longboard's deck, then be able to manually control it from phone using an ESC

2. Set up Raspberry Pi, get GPS working, and be able to access BOARDLOCK's location at all times from phone


Reach Objectives

1. Establish Bluetooth connection from phone to Raspberry Pi in order to lock and unlock BOARDLOCK's wheels


Challenges

1. Learning to ride BOARDLOCK

2. Learning how Raspberry Pi works

3. Having the ability to access BOARDLOCK's current location in real time from a phone

4. Being able to lock/unlock the wheels
