''' 2017 Grade distribution'''

Every year, I get questions regarding what it takes to get a particular grade, and while each year I curve the grades, the distributions shown in the tables below are for AY2017 and AY2018 and are reasonably representative.  In both cases, point totals were out of a 100 based on a weighted sum of labs, exams, quizzes, and review questions.  However, in 2017 there were only 5 labs instead of 6 in 2018, and conversely 6 quizzes instead of only 4 in 2018, and the weight distribution was also slightly different with exams having an overall higher weight in 2017 versus a lower weight for labs.  Lab grades tend to be higher on average than exam grades, which explains the shift in distribution in 2018.  There were 28 students enrolled in the class in 2017 and 45 in 2018.

Past Grade Distributions
