41.9.1 Undoing or redoing mesh editing actions

The undo and redo options that appear in the Mesh Edit Undo section of the Edit Mesh dialog box are specific to the selected part or part instance. When you switch to a different part or part instance and edit its mesh, the undo options change to reflect the history of the selected part or part instance.

The undo and redo descriptions that appear in the Mesh Edit Undo section of the Edit Mesh dialog box are specific to the selected part or assembly. When you switch to a different part or assembly and edit its mesh, the contents of the Mesh Edit Undo change accordingly: ABAQUS/CAE updates the state of the buttons and their descriptions to reflect the history of the newly selected part or assembly.

To undo or redo an Edit Mesh operation:

  1. Enter the Mesh module.

  2. From the main menu bar, select MeshEdit.

ABAQUS/CAE displays the Edit Mesh dialog box.

Tip:  You can also display the Edit Mesh dialog box using the tool, located at the bottom of the Mesh module toolbox.

The Mesh Edit Undo section of this dialog box includes the Undo and Redo buttons and next to each button descriptions of the mesh editing action that will be undone or redone when you click it.

  3. Click Undo to undo the indicated mesh editing operation or click Redo to redo the indicated mesh editing operation.

    ABAQUS/CAE performs the indicated change.

  4. Continue editing the mesh or undoing or redoing changes, then click OK to close the Edit Mesh dialog box.

Note:  When you perform a new mesh editing operation, any redo information about the affected part or part instance will be lost.
