12.2 Structured meshing can be applied to regions that contain virtual topology

Benefits: Regions that contain virtual topology can now be meshed using the structured meshing technique.

Description: If you added virtual topology to a part or a part instance, you can use the structured meshing technique to mesh the part only if the following conditions are true:

If a region cannot be meshed using the structured meshing technique, you can use virtual topology to combine faces until the region is bounded by the required number of sides. For example, Figure 12–2 shows how you can use virtual topology to create a six-sided solid region that can be meshed with hexahedral elements using the structured meshing technique.
