10.1 Suppressing and resuming constraints

Product: ABAQUS/CAE

Benefits: You can now suppress and resume constraints in your models. This capability allows you to try different constraint variations on a model without deleting the current constraints.

Description: Suppression and resumption of constraints in the Interaction module works the same as it does for interactions. Once you have created constraints in a model, you can suppress them by using the Constraint Manager, the Constraint menu, or the popup menus in the Model Tree. The Constraint Manager dialog box shows which constraints are active (with a checkmark icon) and suppressed (with an “X” icon). Figure 10–1 shows an active (checkmark icon) and a suppressed (“X” icon) tie constraint in the Constraints container of the Model Tree, where the “X” icon is also used to indicate suppressed items.
