6.4 Cohesive element import

Products: ABAQUS/Standard ABAQUS/Explicit

Benefits: Cohesive elements can now be used in import analyses.

Description: The cohesive elements COH2D4, COHAX4, COH3D6, and COH3D8 can be used in import analysis to transfer results between ABAQUS/Explicit and ABAQUS/Standard or to transfer results from one ABAQUS/Standard analysis to another.

All damage material models and damage-related state variables can be imported for cohesive elements.

ABAQUS/CAE Usage:
In ABAQUS/CAE you can import model data and results only from models that are defined as assemblies of part instances.
