Product: ABAQUS/CAE
Benefits: You can now link multiple viewports to manipulate your view of objects in these viewports simultaneously. In addition, in the Visualization module you can specify that all linked viewports display the same plot states or plot options.
Description: When you manipulate an object in one linked viewport using any of the view manipulation tools described in Using the view manipulation tools, Section 5.5 of the ABAQUS/CAE User's Manual, ABAQUS/CAE performs the same action in all linked viewports in your session. ABAQUS/CAE allows only one set of linked viewports, so every viewport in your session is either independent or a part of the group of linked viewports. When you change the view in an independent viewport, ABAQUS/CAE changes the view in that viewport only.
Figure 27 shows the Linked Viewports dialog box, which enables you to enable or disable viewport linkage for your session, include or exclude individual viewports from the group of linked viewports, and control which characteristics the linked viewports will share.
ABAQUS/CAE identifies linked viewports with a red link icon that appears in the left side of the viewport title bar.
