Benefits: You can now enable the use of a backing store for ABAQUS/CAE graphics. The backing store stores an off-screen rendering of the viewport that can be used to refresh the viewport instantly when a dialog box that occluded the viewport is moved or dismissed.
Description: Version 6.6 supports the use of a backing store to store and refresh occluded portions of the viewport. Backing store graphics enable ABAQUS/CAE to refresh the current viewport more quickly when, for example, you move or dismiss a dialog box. This enhancement also eliminates artifacts that can occur when you use the XOR or Blend highlight methods.
ABAQUS/CAE will not use the backing store even if it is enabled if the refresh time for the viewport image is sufficiently fast.
