Problem description

The verification tests in this section consist of one-element models that are subjected to monotonically increasing tensile loads in a sequential import analysis. The sequence of tests involves transferring results from ABAQUS/Explicit to ABAQUS/Standard and then back to ABAQUS/Explicit. An elastic-plastic material with Mises yield criterion is used in the analyses. Two sets of problems are tested: one with isotropic hardening and the other with combined isotropic/kinematic hardening.

Results and discussion

The results demonstrate that the plasticity material model is transferred successfully between ABAQUS/Explicit and ABAQUS/Standard.
