You can customize the adaptivity controls. For more information, see “Adaptive meshing and remapping in ABAQUS/Explicit,” Section 7.17.3 of the ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual, and “Adaptive meshing and remapping in ABAQUS/Standard,” Section 7.17.7 of the ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual.
To specify controls for adaptive remeshing:
From the main menu bar, select Other
Adaptive Mesh ControlsCreate.
In the dialog box that appears, type a name for the adaptive mesh controls and click Continue.
ABAQUS/CAE displays the adaptive mesh controls editor.
In the editor, select the desired mesh controls. (For more information, see “Adaptive meshing and remapping in ABAQUS/Explicit,” Section 7.17.3 of the ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual, and “Adaptive meshing and remapping in ABAQUS/Standard,” Section 7.17.7 of the ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual.)
Click OK to save the named set of controls and to close the editor.
