13.8 Converting orphan meshes to gasket elements

Product: ABAQUS/CAE  

Benefits: You can now convert conventional elements to gasket elements in an orphan mesh part.

Description: Previous versions of ABAQUS/CAE did not allow you to assign gasket elements to a region of an orphan mesh part to which conventional elements had been assigned. Now that the Edit Mesh toolset allows you to change the orientation of the stack direction, ABAQUS/CAE allows you to convert conventional elements to gasket elements in an orphan mesh part.
