4.12 Merging groups of sets or surfaces

Benefits: You can merge a group of surfaces into a single surface. For example, you can merge all the top faces from a linear pattern of part instances into a single surface and apply a load to the new surface. You can also merge sets.

Description: You can select a group of sets or surfaces from the Model Tree and merge them into a single set or surface. You can use a combination of drag-select, [Shift]+Click, and [Ctrl]+Click to select the desired sets or surfaces. To merge sets or surfaces, click mouse button 3 on the Model Tree and select Merge from the menu that appears. Figure 4–9 illustrates a group of surfaces being merged into a single surface.
