Abstract: This talk is about the recent advances in networking that affect smart cities. Software-defined networking (SDN) is now past. The end result of SDN is disaggregation with open source hardware and software. Open sourcing has now become the fastest way to introduce new research, idea, concept or technology by companies of all sizes.
