In this contribution, we present a buffer management scheme called Differential Fair Buffer Allocation (DFBA) that provides MCR guarantees to GFR VCs carrying TCP/IP traffic. DFBA can be used on a FIFO buffer shared by several VCs. Each VC can carry traffic from one or more TCP connections. We discuss the features of DFBA and present simulation results to analyze its performance.
