- Tested a laptop camera with similar specs to the PiCamera to determine at what distance the latter will be able to clearly distinguish different fingers (result: at least three meters)
Week of 2/29
- Researched possible OpenCV sublibraries to use for color point detection (imgproc)
- Downloaded OpenCV onto Flash Drive
- Loaded OpenCV onto Raspberry Pi (using Python 2, rather than Python 3 as planned)
- Configured OpenCV to be accessible to Python programs on Raspberry Pi
