Overview
- For our project, we will be designing a method of watering various plants autonomously. We will do this by using the arduino to monitor the moisture level in the soil and determine how much water should be added to the plants. If water must be added, the mechanical component will be turned on and continue watering the plant until a sufficient level of moisture is detected. We will also attach a bluetooth device to the arduino which will connect to the phone of the user.

Objectives
- We would like to make a system that is both cost and water efficient.
- We would like to build on our understanding of coding and learn new techniques that will be useful to us as engineers.
- We want this system be compact enough so that it would be easy to install.
Challenges
- Learning how to design an app that will run using an arduino.
- Designing a mechanical component that does not take up too much space.
- Having the bluetooth device on the arduino communicate with a cell phone through the app.
- Currently little experience learning to code an arduino.
