The goal of our project is to create an app that can perform optical character recognition on nutritional labels and extract the basic information about that food (calories as well as content of fat, carbohydrate, sugar, protein, and fiber). After a food is photographed and selected for consumption, the app will add the associated information to the daily running totals for each of these nutritional measures.
