You can change the model, the plot state, and the plot options for each layer in an overlay plot. Your changes are applied to only the current layer when you are in the overlay plot state.
To edit layers in an overlay plot:
Create an overlay plot using the procedure described in Producing an overlay plot, Section 53.2.1.
Click in the Current column next to the layer that you want to modify.
To change the model, open a new output database. (For more information, see Opening a model database or an output database, Section 9.7.2.)
To change the plot type, select a new plot type from the Plot menu or from the plot tools in the toolbox.
To change the plot state-independent or plot state-dependent customization options, select new options from any of the following dialog boxes:
Viewport Annotation Options
ODB Display Options
Result Options
Common Plot Options
Superimpose Plot Options
Contour Plot Options
Symbol Plot Options
Material Orientation Plot Options
Click OK or Apply in each dialog box to implement your changes in the current layer of the overlay plot.
Repeat Step 2 through Step 5 for each layer that you wish to modify.
Note: If you dismiss the manager without clicking Plot Single, the viewport remains in the overlay plot state and you must reopen the Overlay Plot Layer Manager to return to the previous plot state.
