To produce a tabular report of either X–Y data objects or field output results, you first specify the report content, format, and destination. ABAQUS/CAE generates the report when you apply these customization selections.
To produce a report of probe values, you first produce and then probe a model or X–Y plot. While probing, you can select probe values of interest and you can write the selected values to a file.
Depending on your selections, your report may include negative element labels. Negative labels indicate internal elements created by ABAQUS/CAE. These elements are given negative labels so you can easily distinguish them from elements that you created while defining the model.
To produce a report of X–Y data or field output results:
From the main menu bar, select ReportXY or ReportField Output. The Report XY Data or Report Field Output dialog box becomes available.
Use the options to customize the report content, format, and destination.
When you have finished, click Apply to generate the report.
To produce a report of probe values:
From the main menu bar, select ToolsQuery, then click Apply in the dialog box that appears. The Probe Values dialog box appears.
Move the cursor to probe the model or X–Y plot in the current viewport.
To select and accumulate values of interest in the Selected Probe Values table in the Probe Values dialog box, click mouse button 1 while probing.
When you have finished, click Write to File to access the report file options and to generate the report.
