You can control which viewports in your ABAQUS/CAE session will be linked and the characteristics that the linked viewports will share. In all modules you can manipulate the view of objects simultaneously in the linked viewports. In the Visualization module you can also specify that linked viewports display the same plot states and plot options.
To link viewports:
Locate the linked viewport commands.
From the main menu bar, select ViewportLinked Viewports.
The Linked Viewports dialog box opens.
Tip: You can also display the Linked Viewports dialog box by clicking in the Viewport toolbox.
Toggle on Link viewports to enable the linking of viewports for your session.
From the Options portion of the dialog box:
Toggle on View manipulations to enable simultaneous view manipulations in the linked viewports.
Toggle on Plot states to display the same plot state or states in the linked viewports. This option applies in the Visualization module only.
Toggle on Plot options to display the same plot options in the linked viewports. This option applies in the Visualization module only.
In the Linked Viewports portion of the dialog box, select the viewports you want to link and deselect those that you want to remain independent.
Click OK to apply your changes and to close the Linked Viewports dialog box.
The linked viewports exhibit the shared behavior you specified in the Options selections.
