3.4 Generating reports of output database (.odb) file information

Products: ABAQUS/Standard  ABAQUS/Explicit

Benefits: You can create fully formatted reports detailing information and results from an ABAQUS output database (.odb) file. You specify what information is included, and the reports can be written in text, HTML, and comma-separated values (CSV) file formats.

Description: The output database report utility allows you to extract information from an ABAQUS output database (.odb) file, organize it, and print it to an easily accessible file format that does not require the use of a postprocessor such as ABAQUS/Viewer. You can create lists of set names, nodal coordinates, and output variable values. Using filtering options, you can display information for specific steps, frames, instances, and variables. You indicate the format of the generated report file, and it can be viewed in a variety of widely available software applications: text editors or word processors for text files, web browsers for HTML files, and spreadsheet or database programs for CSV files.
