Description: The work directory is the directory into which ABAQUS/CAE writes files during a session. When you start an ABAQUS/CAE session, the work directory is the directory from which you started ABAQUS/CAE. You can change the work directory by selecting FileSet Work Directory from the main menu bar. When you are opening or saving a file, the work icon at the top of the file selection dialog box provides a shortcut to the work directory. Changing the work directory does not change the default location for opening or saving files related to ABAQUS/CAE, such as the model database file and replay file. It does, however, change the location where analysis-related files such as the output database will be saved.
