16.8.5 Respecifying the connectors to which a load or boundary condition is applied

You can respecify the connectors to which a connector load or connector boundary condition is applied in the step in which the load or boundary condition was created.

To respecify the connector to which a load or boundary condition is applied:

  1. From the Load or BC menu in the main menu bar, select Manager to display the Load Manager or the Boundary Condition Manager.

  2. Click the cell located in the row of the connector load or connector boundary condition that you want to modify and in the column of the step of interest, and click Edit. Alternatively, you can double-click the cell.

Tip:  You can also initiate this procedure by clicking the step in which the connector load or connector boundary condition was created in the Step list located under the toolbar. From the Load or BC menu in the main menu bar, select Editconnector load or connector boundary condition.

    An editor appears.

  3. In the top part of the editor, click Edit.

The Connectors Selection dialog box appears. The connectors that you previously selected are highlighted in the viewport.

  4. Select and unselect connectors from the Connectors Selection dialog box, and click Continue. You should apply connector loads and connector boundary conditions only to the available components of relative motion of a connector. If you are selecting multiple connectors, you should ensure that all of the connectors have the available components of relative motion for which you are defining loads or boundary conditions. (For more information, see Selecting multiple items from lists and tables, Section 3.2.11.)

  5. In the editor, finish editing the connector load or connector boundary condition as desired and then click OK.

The symbols representing the connector load or connector boundary condition in the viewport change to appear on the newly edited connectors.
