Description: Two new basic connection types have been introduced in ABAQUS/Explicit. The PROJECTION CARTESIAN connection is a basic translational connection type that could be used to model shear and axial deformations appropriately in certain applications such as bushings and spot welds. The PROJECTION FLEXION-TORSION connection is a basic rotational connection type that could be used to model bending and twisting deformations appropriately in the same types of applications. The new pre-assembled connection type BUSHING is created using the PROJECTION CARTESIAN and PROJECTION FLEXION-TORSION types together.
