This document introduces the new features in ABAQUS Version 6.5. Chapter 1 provides a brief overview of the ABAQUS products included in this release. Chapters 2–16 provide short descriptions of new Version 6.5 features in ABAQUS/Standard, ABAQUS/Explicit, and ABAQUS/CAE, categorized by subject:

Chapter 16, ABAQUS Scripting Interface”: using the ABAQUS Scripting Interface to write user scripts.
