Browsing the Online ABAQUS Keywords Reference Manual

This online manual describes all of the input options that are available in ABAQUS. The content of the sections presented here is identical to that presented in the printed ABAQUS Keywords Reference Manual.

To locate documentation for a particular keyword:

  1. In the table of contents frame, locate the letter of the alphabet that begins the keyword that you are interested in.

  2. Click the book icon to the left of the letter.

A list of the keywords beginning with that letter appears below the letter.

  3. Locate the keyword that you are interested in.

  4. Click the keyword itself.

The section describing that keyword appears in the text frame.

To find examples of the usage of a particular keyword in an input file, you can use the findkeyword utility (defined in Execution procedure for querying the keyword/problem database, Section 3.2.11 of the ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual) to search the sample input files included with the ABAQUS release. You can use the ABAQUS/Fetch utility to extract an input file from the compressed archive files. The ABAQUS/Fetch execution procedure is explained in detail in Execution procedure for ABAQUS/Fetch, Section 3.2.12 of the ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual.
